The Lost Ones: Tammy Lynn Jarvis - May 26, 2001

(Editors note: This story was originally published on December 14, 2017 on Today in Fort Smith.)

On May 26, 2001, Tammy Lynn Jarvis was brutally murdered in Fort Smith. Sadly, her murder is just one of a growing number of unsolved cases in Fort Smith since 1985.

According to witnesses, Tammy was thrown out of a white truck in broad daylight after being stabbed.

When police officers arrived, Tammy was lying in a pool of blood. According to authorities, Jarvis died of a single stab wound to the chest.

Tammy's murderer discarded her body like trash on the side road next to the Garden Lodge between 10th Street and 11th Street. Jarvis was only 27-years-old.

Investigators interviewed potential suspects initially, but to date, no arrests have been made and there are few leads to help police solve her murder.
