A 52-year old scumbag from Cherokee County remains jailed in Tahlequah after police officials say he was caught in bed with a six-year-old boy with his pants down, according to the child's adoptive other.
The husband of the mother of the child, Bryon Douglas Johnson, was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on one count of a lewd acts to a minor child.
The mother of the victim told authorities she woke up during the night to go to the restroom, and she noticed her husband was not in bed.
She went then went to her adopted son's room and saw Johnson lying in bed with the six-year-old. . When she pulled back the sheets, she saw Johnson's pants were down. He then proceeded to tell her his pants had fallen down because they were loose.
Fearful of what might have happened, she told authorities that she made Johnson leave the house.
Deputies collected the child's clothes and bedsheets for evidence and contacted officials with the Department of Human Services, who took custody of the child after conducting interviews.
When authorities later found Johnson, he allegedly told them the child had climbed on top of him and pulled his pants down. He added that it wasn't the first time the child had tried to touch his private parts.
He was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he remains jailed.
