Hamburg Police Officers were called at 1:48 AM today when a vehicle collided into the side of a home at 407 Chicago Street.
Todd A. Martin, 33, of Crossett, was found dead at the scene and local police requested Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division to be sent to Hamburg and investigate what they reported to be a shooting incident.
Agents have been able to confirm Martin earlier in the night parked his vehicle outside 408 Chicago and walked across the street to 407 Chicago to visit family members.
Later, Martin left 407 Chicago Street and re-entered his vehicle. While driving away he was shot and the vehicle continued to roll across the street hitting the side of the home where he had earlier visited relatives.
Martin’s body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for purposes of determining the exact manner and cause of death and recovery of other forensic evidence.
Numerous investigative interviews have been conducted by state police special agents today, however no arrests have been made at this time.
