Oklahoma Report: Delaware County Sheriff details fourteen felony arrests in one troublesome subdivis




Delaware County Sheriff Harlan Moore reported from late August, through the first half of November, fourteen felony arrests with multiple charges, made in the Sunnywood addition, near Lakemont Shores.

Guns, vehicles, cash and drugs were recovered.

The incidents began August 24 when Gary Miller 44, was shot by sheriff’s deputies after he pointed a firearm at deputies during a car chase as he fled from a domestic violence scene in Sunnywood.

He was apprehended and treated for a gunshot wound. He was booked on charges of Felony pointing a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, child neglect and possession of paraphernalia.

Also arrested in connection with the same domestic violence incident were Catalina Ironside 35, and Ledora Shaw, 57 both charged with felon in possession of a firearm; possession of drug paraphernalia and child neglect.

On Sept. 28, Jason Farmer 26 was identified following a pursuit with a stolen motorcycle. He crashed the bike and fled the scene on foot. A 2005 Honda Shadow stolen out of Mayes County was recovered.

Farmer was arrested on November 6 in the Sunnywood Sub Division after he posed as another individual. He is charged with false impersonation of another felony eluding, possession of stolen property and driving under suspension.

On October 16, Clifton C. Warren age 29 was arrested at his mother’s residence in Sunnywood. He was charged in connection with a reported domestic violence incident the previous day. Charges include threaten to perform acts of violence kidnapping and domestic violence assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Also on October 16 two persons were taken into custody after they fled from a residence in Sunnywood as deputies approached. They were both apprehended and identified as Taylor Zanger 24, and Jessie Hogshooter 22. Both had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Zanger arrested on a Tulsa County warrant for possession and use of controlled dangerous substances/delivery of paraphernalia. Hogshooter was arrested on Mayes County warrants charging him with concealing stolen property, eluding and resisting arrest.

A stolen ’99 Harley Davidson motorcycle stolen from Mayes County and a 2005 Honda four wheel ATV stolen from Delaware County was recovered from the Sunnywood residence at the time of their arrests.

On November 7 near the Sunnywood addition deputies stopped a vehicle and arrested Allie Anderson age 41 on murder charges stemming from the drug overdose death of Melissa Vermillion October 23, 2017.

Also arrested in the same vehicle were Lance Weaver 45 and Krystal Hatzenbuehler 36. Charges included trafficking methamphetamine. A total of 288 grams of meth was recovered along with $7151 cash. Hatzenbuehler was also charged with false impersonation after she gave deputies a fraudulent name. The late model Audi driven by Weaver was held for seizure.

Later on November 7 Matthew Donovan 34 was arrested at a Sunnywood residence. He was charged with being a felon in possession of multiple firearms, possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Another female at the residence, Candace Chandler33 was also taken into custody and charged with harboring a felon and possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.

On November 16 a Sunnywood residence was reported to be occupied by squatters. When deputies checked, they found Raymond Davis 25 and Taylor Cochran 26. Neither could confirm they had permission to be in the home. Both were found to be convicted felons. A loaded firearm was found near the area where the couple was sleeping.

A loaded sawed-off 20 gauge shotgun was recovered at the time of the arrest. Both were charged with fel on in possession of a firearm. Both were wanted on foreign warrants. Cochran was later charged with smuggling controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia into the county jail.

Two more individuals are being sought who are known to hang out in the Sunnywood area. Shaun Anderson 30 wanted for Felony drug related charges and Jeremy Reagan 29 who stole a car in the Sunnywood area and led the GRDA Police on a pursuit but avoided arrest Warrants are pending with the District Attorney’s Office.

Sheriff Moore reported deputies were assisted by OHP, GRDA Police, District 13 Violent Crime Task Force, Disney Police and Mayes and Craig County Sheriff’s deputies during some of the arrests. The majority of the cases were the result of overtime monies from an Oklahoma District Attorney’s Council grant.
