Former local MMA fighter Rock McGahey did a better job of escaping punishment than he did of avoiding ass whippings in the octogon as he slipped out of the grasp of justice yet again with a sweetheart deal in Logan County kangaroo court on Friday.
McGahey, who is a serial spouse abuser and self-proclaimed internet badass who likes to kick women in the stomach as a means of "self defense" was given a free pass (yet again) by the hospitable denizens of the Paris District of the Logan County Court by being allowed to plead no contest to one of two felony charges against him for Terroristic Threatening.
McGahey was assessed twenty-four months supervised probation and $1525 in cost and fines for an incident involving his now ex-wife for which he had been originally charged with Felony Terroristic Threatening, Domestic Battery, Violation of a Domestic Order of Protection, False Imprisonment, and Interfering With Emergency Communications.
McGahey was also ordered not to have further contact with the victim. You know...kind of like he was before he broke the order of protection and held her hostage.
There is nothing in the oficial court records indicating if he also got a stern talking to and a kiss on the forehead by the judge.
The second Terroristic Threatening charge was listed as "nolle prossed" (will not prosecute) and stricken from the docket. That was for an incident in which he threatened to kill a "m****** f*****" for apparently riding a four-wheeler through a Logan County trailer park in a manner that offended him just a few months after he was arrested for the assault on his ex-wife.

McGahey apparently got out of the MMA fight game because the men he faced chose to hit back.
Given his stellar past, a pretty much guaranteed probation violation will probably result in him having to stay in for recess and write sentences on a chalkboard.
