According to a press release from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Heavener woman was injured Wednesday in a one car accident that occurred approximately five miles west of Hodgen at 25947 Reichart Road on a rural stretch.
According to the report, a 2001 Pontiac Firebird, driven by Stephanie Kirkes 34, of Heavener was going eastbound on Reichart Rd when she ran off the roadway to the right and then departed the road to the left and struck a tree after an overcorrection.
Kirkes was transported by air ambulance to St John Hospital in Tulsa and was listed in stable condition with a head injury upon admission.
