On January 31, 2019, Sgt Winn of the LeFlore County Sheriff's Office arrested a 27-year-old white male, Michael Cody Eslick for the crime of Electronically making a lewd or indecent proposal to a child under 16 years of age for the child to have sexual relations with the accused
.The arrest was made after a six month investigation of Eslick attempting to meet a 14- year-old female for the purposes of having sexual relations. Eslick had been messaging the juvenile asking for "topless" pictures and asking her to have sex with him.
Sgt Winn set up a meeting in Heavener but Eslick did not show up. He was located at the Choctaw Travel Plaza where the Tribal Police arrested him for an outstanding felony warrant.
After Eslick was taken into custody he was interviewed and admitted to asking the juvenile for nude pictures. Eslick also admitted that he knew the juvenile female was only 14 years old.
Eslick is being held at the LeFlore County Detention Center on $25,000.00 bond for Soliciting Sex with a minor and $5,942.00 for failure to pay costs associated with a burglary in 2016.
