Arkansas travels to Florida for three game SEC set with the Gators

The Razorbacks are jumping back into SEC play this weekend, as they prepare to face No. 8 Florida on the road in Gainesville. Game one of the series is set for Friday (April 5) at 5:00 pm (CT).

Arkansas (26-11, 6-6) will look to build on its win over Missouri State on Wednesday (April 3), when the Hogs took down the Bears in Springfield, 2-1.

The Razorbacks are in the Sunshine State on the hunt for their third SEC series of the season. Arkansas has already taken two of three from both South Carolina and Kentucky.

Florida (29-9, 3-6) is still searching for its first series of the year, falling to Tennessee, LSU and most recently, Ole Miss. The Gators dropped their mid-week to Florida State, 2-0. The loss makes Florida 5-5 over its last ten games.

The Razorbacks are expected to face Florida’s Kelly Barnhill in the circle this weekend. Barnhill swept SEC Pitcher of the Week honors the first three weeks of the season and has since accumulated a 1.50 ERA, recording 19 wins and striking out 203 batters.

Junior Autumn Storms (14-3) enters the weekend as the reigning SEC Pitcher of the Week. Storms posted a 3-0 week including a shutout against Kentucky and game-three win to secure the series for the Hogs.

Sophomore Mary Haff recorded her fourth save of the season in Arkansas’ mid-week victory. The sixth of her career, Haff is only one save away from moving into fourth all-time at Arkansas for career saves.

Friday’s game is available on SEC Network +, while Saturday’s second game of the series is on the SEC Network and Sunday’s on ESPN2. Kyle Crooks and Francesca Enea will call the game Friday, while Mark Neely and Danielle Lawrie-Lock will be in the booth for Saturday and Sunday.
