A 43-year-old German national reached out to Today in Fort Smith this morning seeking information on the possible whereabouts of his sister, who relocated to the United States in 1981 and lived or lives in the Ozark area.
Martin Rissel, who lives in Roding, which is a small town near Munich on the edge of the Bavarian Forest says he had contact with his sister prior to 2013 but that he hasnot been able to locate her in the ensuing years.
Rissell messaged us this morning:
"Please help me...I'm looking for my sister. She was born on 06.01.1956 with last known address Ozark,Arkansas USA.
Please look in the phone book if you find her. She is now 63.
My name is Martin Rissel. come from the Bavarian Forest in Germany and am her brother.

A cursory search on the internet did show a 63-year-old Erica Smith listed in Ozark, but there is no Facebook account than we can locate. Rissell said he is afraid that Erica, who came to the United States in 1981 and settled in Franklin County, may be sick.
