ASP Report: Sunday crash in Logan County claims life of two-year-old child

The Arkansas State Police has posted a preliminary report on the accident in Logan County that took the life of a two-year-old girl on Sunday.

(Today in Fort Smith has learned the identify of the child though social media posts and other sources but it remains our policy not to print the names of minor children killed in automobile accidents.)

Police say the wreck occurred when a 2004 Ford Mustang headed east on Old Military Road in Paris failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a northbound 2003 Tahoe traveling along Kalamazoo Road. The Tahoe rolled over from the force of the impact.

The driver of the Tahoe, 29-year old Robert Hood, passenger 25-year-old Amy Hood and two other minor children were taken to a hospital in Paris. The ASP report also list an unknown pedestrian as being injured as well.

ASP trooper Quinton Porter nother weather conditions were clear and the pavement was dry at the time of the accident.
