Benton County Sheriff Shawn Holloway announced on Thursday that four people have been arrested in conjunction with a murder of a 23-year-old man who was located Monday afternoon on a rural road in the Beaver Lake area.
Holloway said the murder as likely linked to drug activites.
David Adair, 26, Mark Brannan, 31, Lydia Riggs, 20, and Zackary Whitcomb, 19, are all behind bars awaiting a court appearance on Friday where their bonds will be determined.. Officials are awating the results of an autopsy at the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
According to booking information at the Benton County Detention Center, Brannan and Whitcomb were both booked into jail on Wednesday while Riggs and Adair were arr4ested today.
Media reports out of northwest Arkansas said that all four had been charged with Capital Murder, but as of 9:20 p.m. Thursday the only charges listed against Brannan was Felony Abuse of a Corpse.
