Felon in possession of a firearm charge leveled against Fort Smith woman after arrest

A Class B misdemeanor Failure to Appear arrest led to more serious charges on Monday for one Fort Smith woman as she also found herself on the hook for Possession Of Firearm By Certain Persons, which is a felony charge.

Daniele Crystal Terhune was last in the Sebastian County Detention Center in December of 2019 when she bonded out on for misdemeanor and failure to appear charges, which stemmed from a no-show in court on a Class A Felony Theft earlier in the year.

Terhune had also been the subject of an arrest for Felony Failure to appear earlier in 2019 as well as a Petition to Revoke from just over a year ago.

Terhune was found guilty of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia in 2017 and was given a suspended imposition of sentence on those charges.

iTehune has no-bond hold as well as an additional $2500 legally sufficient hold and remained in custody at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
