Fifteen charges against Fayetteville man arrested for tenth time in past six years
A 25-year-old Fayetteville man remains behind bars after a Monday night arrest following a traffic stop by the Arkansas State Police resulting in fifteen charges filed against him, over half of which were felonies.
Louis Jackson was booked into the Washington County Detenetion Center shortly before midnight last night and this morning he was formally charged with eight felony counts along with six and a Parole Violation.
The traffic stopped yielded a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, but Jackson was also charged with Simultaneous Possession of Drugs anfd Forearms, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, Criminal Impersonation, Obstructing Governmental Operations, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of an Instrument of Crime.
In addition, Jackson was cited for Expired Vehicle License, Driving on Suspended License, Careless Driving, Permitting an Unauthorized Driver and No Seat Belt violation.
The violations triggering the Parole Violation charge from a May 2019 drug-related negotiated guilty plea. This arrest marks Jackson tenth on a felony count since April of 2016.
Jackson is due to appear in Washington County Coorcuit Court on a Rule 8.1 hearing and will face a hearing before the Arkansas Department of Corrections Parole Board in the future.
