Former Danville Boy Scout leader subject of warrant for theft of fundraiser funds

A former Boy Scout Troop Leader in Yell County is the subject of a warrant for theft of money from a fund raiser for the local scouts.

Police said Chad Michael Young embezzled collected money and did not pay the balance owed to the Westark Area Council that provided the product (popcorn) for the fundraiser. The amount in question is said to be more than $2000. The police were called in after another local scout leader discovered the funds missing.

The warrant was issue for Theft of Property, a Class D Felony> Police say they think may have fled the area.
