Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member and Domestic Battering in the Third Degree charges landed a Fort Smith man in jail on Wednesday afternoon, according to information from the Sebastian County Sheriff Office.
Jameson Battles was booked into the SCDC just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday and remained jailed at deadline time late Wednesday night for the two charges.
Battles was arrested by the Fort Smith Police Department and faces a no-bond hold and an additional $1500 legal bond as he awaits his first court appearance on May 4.
According to court records, Battles has not had a conviction in Arkansas for anything other than traffic and seat belt violations as far back as 2004.
