Fort Smith traffic stop leads to drug and paraphernalia, firearms violation arrest

If you are going to drive while under the influence, be sure and leave the crack, the crack pipe, and the gat at the house.


A Fort Smith man failed to heed that simple lesson on Sunday and found himself in a heap of trouble with charges for Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance - Schedule VI Misdemeanor <4oz,Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Pack, Repack, and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms.


Lionel J. Larringa, with an address listed in Fort Smith, was arrested after a traffic stop on Sunday and charged with the three felony counts and the unclassified DWI citation.


He was booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center at 9:45 a.m. Sunday morning and remains behind bars with a total of bails and bonds of $1850.


Larringa is due in court on March 12 to face those charges.
