Interstate 40 crash on Sunday sends Oklahoma couple to OKC hospital via helicopter
A Sunday motorcycle accident on Sunday that sent two Oklahompmans to an Oklahoma City hospital where they were admitted in serious condition with multiple injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said on Monday that Donnie Krug, 49, of Del City was piloting a 2005 Harly Davidson on Interstate 40 when hugh winds caused him to lose control of the motorcycle. A gust of wind blew theHarley off tthe roadway and into into the center median and as Krug was attempting to bring the motorcycle under conttrol. he hit some soft dirt causing the motorcycle to roll several times. times.
Samantha Shuman, of Norman, age unknown, was a passenger on the back of the Harley.
Krug and Shuman were both transported by helicopter to OU Medical in Oklahoma City, according to the report.
The accident occured at mile marker 218 approximately three miles west of Okemah in Okfuskee county shortly before noon on Sunday.
