The Arkansas State Police published a preliminary accident report on Friday detailing the death of a 56-year-old Johnson County truck driver who was killed Wednesday in a crash in southern Arkansas.
Police say Carroll Finley of Lamar was fatally injured in an accident that saw the 2009 Kenworth he was driving along a rural stretch of Highway 18 west of the Highway 181 junction veer off the road, strike a guard rail and burst into flame.
Trooper Thomas Hitchcock reported conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident, which occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m.
