Local man looking at five felony drug counts after Sunday arrest by Fort Smith Police Department
A Fort Smith man has been bound over for a March 11 Circuit Court hearing on five felony drug charges, obstructing governmental operations and for being a felon in position of drugs and firearms simultaneously, according to booking information from the Sebastian County Detention Center.
The Fort Smith Police arrested Aaron Leo Williams for Possession of [Schedule I/II Controlled Substance] <2g, Obstructing Governmental Operations, Furnishing a Prohibited Article-Correctional Facility, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms-Firearm, Possession of Firearms By Certain Persons - Felon in Possession, Possession of Methamphetamine <2, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
In addition to a no-bond hold on the felonies, he also faces an additional $50,000 in legally sufficient bonds according to the booking information.
Williams was processed into the Sebastian County facility at 1:01 p.m. on Sunday.
