McCurtain County sheriff's deputies are asking for the publics help for information about a man who went missing May 6, 2017.
Fred Romine apparently was headed to officiate a college baseball game in Paris, Texas, authorities said. College officials said he never made it to the game and hasn't been seen since.
Romine was driving a brown 2005 Honda Odyssey at the time of his disappearance.
In late July of that year, human remains were found on federal forest service land, making the investigation eligible for assistance from the FBI and the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation. Officials tthough the remains may have been Romine's.
The FBI sent crime specialists down here to help with the investigation, but the body has never been identified as that of Romine and he remains listed with NAMUS as missing and endangered.
The remains of the body were sent to the Oklahoma medical examiner for identification and to determine the cause of death.
Authorities ask anyone with any information to call the McCurtain County Sheriff's Office at (580) 286-5419.
