One vehicle accident in Haskell County sends Stigler man to Fort Smith hospital on Friday

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Stigler man was injured in a one vehicle accident that happened on State Highway 82 and Choctaw Rd, about 1 1/2 miles south of Stigler.

The wreck occurred on Friday at 9:47 pm when a 2005 GMC Sierra driven by Jerry Bails 57 of Stigler failed to negotiate a curve in the southbound lane of State Highway 82 and , went off the the roadway The Sierra struck a fence and the vehicle rolled before coming to rest in a field.

Bails was taken by Ambulance to Mercy Ft. Smith where he was admitted in stable condition with head and arm injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
