Paris woman perishes in one-vehicle accident Saturday in rural Logan County

A 54-year-old Paris woman died as the result of injuries she sustained in a one vehicle accident that occurred Saturday at 12:25 p.m. at 1859 Highway 109 in rural Logan County, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Robin Brooks was driving a 1999 Ford along a rural stretch of the roadway when she left the highway in a left-hand curve, over-corrected and ended back on the pavement headed in a northerly direction. The vehicle then rolled over before coming to rest on it's top in the southbound lane of the highway.

Brooks was taken to Mercy Hospital in Booneville where she was later pronounced dead.

Troop James O. Ray said conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.
