Queens, New York resident sitting in Pope County Detention Center after $450,000 meth bust
A Queens, New York resident remains behind bars at the Pope County Detention Center in Russellville tonight on a $200,000 bond after an arrest earlier in the week by the Arkansas State Police.
Jonathan Anres Pinnock, 27, was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine at his intial court apperance on Wednesday. Officials say they seized over $450,000 street value of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 for an improper turn signal.
After being refused consent to search the vehicle, a K-9 with the U.S. Forestry Service "it" on the car to establish probable cause. Five large vacuumed- sealed-bags that contained about 10 pounds of methamphetamine were located durring the serach.
Pinnock was transported to the Pope County Detention Center where he was booked on the felony charge.
No information on Pinnock's next court date had been entered into Arkansas Court Connect by close of business on Friday.
