Revolving cell door for Fort Smith man in domestic battering case


A Fort Smith man spent a total of three hours and 21-minutes in jail on Saturday after an arrest by the Fort Smith Police Department on Domestic Battering in the Third Degree - Purposely, Theft of Property and Contempt-Willful Disobedience charges after an afternoon arrest by the Fort Smith Police Department.


Alejandro Ramirez was booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center at 6:20 p.m. on Friday and released at 9:41 after posting a $1500 legally sufficient bond on top of a total of $1065 in signature bonds on the three counts.


Ramirez actually spent more time in jail back in October for an Obstructing Governmental Operation charge that he did for battering a household member on Satirdatuy.


No court date ha been listed on his booking information.
