Revolving Door of Justice: Fort Smith felon with long criminal history on no- bond hold in SCDC
A 27-year old Fort Smith man who has sentenced to more than 12-years of imposed prison time in a little less than nine years finds himself back on the cell block Saturday night after he was arrested on three charges, including Criminal Use of Prohibited Weapons - Brass Knuckles, Carrying a Weapon and Criminal Trespass.
Adam Amphonh Phommachanh, who is on a no-bond hold and also faces an Absconding chrage as well as a Parole Revocation, was taken into custody at 4:57 a.m. Saturday morning. Dating back to 2011 Phommachanh has had at least a dozen felony arrest and charges.
He was in the Arkansas Department of Correction system as late as October 1, 2018 when he was transferred back to prison after returning to testify in court proceeding in Fort Smith.
In addition to his imposed sentencing of 108 months (some running conncurently) for all his crimes, Phommachanh has been given 264 months of suspened sentences and 36 months of pro-probation in the 12th circuit court on mostly drug related crimes.
Those include arrests for possession of oth controlled substances and paraphernaila, possession with intent to deliver, drug manufacturing and possession or manufacturing of counterfeit drugs.
A court date of March 5 has been set for March 5 at 1:30 p.m. for Phommachanh.
