A nationwide arrest warrant was issued in December of 2018 for a dangerous level 4 sex offender wanted out of Hartford. Today, Rodney Lee Moore remains on the run after fleeing his home in Sebastian County not long after an unrelated arrest.
According to earlier reports, Moore had been arrested in the beginning of 2018 on a weapons charge. A court date was scheduled, however Moore never showed. After authorities went to the residence to check on the sex offender, they learned the suspect had fled, avoiding new prosecution and failing to comply with the reporting requirements of the Sex & Child Offender Registry.
This case is especially troubling, considering the circumstances around the offender.
On February 4th, 1992, Moore was convicted of Rape, Aggravated Robbery and Kidnapping. According to police, this offense involved the defendant forcibly abducting an adult female, robbing her and forcing her to engage in sexual contact. It was determined later that Moore had in his possession weapons, rope, and condoms.
A Level 4 Risk designation was assigned to Moore due to the graphic nature of the crimes, as well as prior a conviction for aggravated robbery against an adult female prior to this incident. He is considered dangerous.
