A 20-year-old Pope County man who has been the subject of a bench warrant that was issued on March 11 was taken into custody and faces initial charges of 31-counts of Possessing, Manufacturing or Distributing Explicit Material - Child, all Class C felonies.
Ethan Joseph Troka, of Russellville, was booked into the Pope County Detention Center at 1:48 p.m. on Thursday. He remains in custody on a no-bond hold on all 31-counts.
According to court documents, the offenses occurred on January 20 of this year.
A special agent with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation after a tip led officers to obtain a search warrant for a home on Ketchu Drive.
Cell phones,a thumb drive and a lap top computer were seized during the search. Investigators were able to link Troka to the child pornography through an internet IP address.
The thumb drive also contained pictures of Troka as well as pictures of his drivers license.
As of Thursday afternoon, no hearing date has been set.
