Russellville drunk driver arrested for Negligent Homicide stemming from 2019 accident
A 32-year old Russellville woman was booked into the Pope County Detention Center on Tuesday and charged with one count of Felony Negligent Homicide stemming from a one-vehicle accident in December of 2019 in which a passenger was ejected and died from the result of her injuries.
Angelica Perez was arrested Tuesday on a warrant and remains jailed with a $50,000 bond for the Class B Felony. When officer arrived on the accident scene on December 14 of last year, one of the occupants was lying in the roadway deceased. Perez was sitting on the sidewalk and was speaking with bystanders.
EMT's arrived and transported Perez to St. Mary's Regional in Russellville for treatment. While in the facility, a blood alcohol test was administered and sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
The results of the test came back to Russellville in mid-February showing a blood alcohol content of 0.183.
