Third Degree Battering - Purposely lands Fort Smith resident in local lock-down



Yet another fine, upstanding citizen who likes to pound on family and/or household members finds himself behind bars after an early Tuesday morning arrest for Domestic Battering in the Third Degree - Purposely, a Class A Misdemeanor.


James Steven Jones, a convicted felon fro drug and crimnal trespass charges in the past, was booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center at 7:41 Tuesday morning on the domestic violence charge, marking his third trek to thee local jail in a little more than two years.


Jones was also in fail for fifteen days in late 2018 For Felony Failure to Appear and received the same Suspended Impostition of Sentence he received for his previous felony counts.


Bond has been set at $1500.
