A Fort Smith resident found himself in the Sebastian County Detention Center on Tuesday, being held on a $900 bond on misdemeanor charges of  Disorderly Conduct - Obscene Language or Gesture, Fleeing -On Foot and Misdemeanor Refusal To Submit To Arrest, and he probably didn’t need to be guided through the booking procedure since it is his 23rd time since 2017 to be a guest of Sebastian County.

The nearly two dozens arrests, including twelve in 2019 alone, has resulted in 33 seperate charges against Musa Salim Abdul-Khaliq ranging fro public intoxication (seven times) to assault on a family or household member. The total amount of his bonds (all but one a signature bond) was been $13, 625 since October 16, 2017.

In addition, he spent three days in jail in early October of that same year for failing to make payments on an arraignment he agreed to for previous crimes an had a $4238.14 cash bond in that matter.

He currently has a n open felony case for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred from a March 29, 2019 arrest in Fort Smith along with a charge of Tampering With Physical Evidence.

Abdul-Khaliq has served a toal of 161 days in the SDCD, but the bulk of that came on two extended stays of 104 and 26 days in 2017-18. Fourteen of his arrest have resulted in a stay of 24-hours or less.

(Editors note: The online software used by Sebastian County for arrests postings only goes back to 2017).

In addition to the charges listed above, Abdul-Khaliq has been arrested for Criminal Trespass and Failure to Appear four times and Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Pay Fines three different times. There have between two arrests for Theft of Property, Refusal to Submit, Contempt and Petition to Revoke and single charges for Fleeing, Domestic Batter, Violation of a Protection Order and Assault on a Family Member.
