The saddest of all missing person cases are when a body is located and never identified and classified as a "Jane" or "John" Doe.
On October 9, 2001 the body of an unidentified white female was found in Simpson County Kentucky near Highway 65. The estimated time of death was August 1 to October 1, 2001 and the subject is thought to have been between 25-35 years of age.
A forensic examination put the height of the subject at 5'6" to 5'9" tall. She had light, reddish brown hair 12"-14" long
The body displayed a healed fracture of upper right arm near the shoulder and teeth that were severely decayed or missing altogether.
There was a rose tattoo on her left breast.
Two rings were found near the body.
The facial reconstruction was provided by Kentucky State Forensic Anthropologist Dr. Emily Craig and while not an exact replica of the victim's likeness, it does suggest the general shape and structure of her face.
