Mysterious death of Pass Christian, Mississippi man under scrutiny by law enforcement agencies

On February 1, 2018 at approximately 6:00 p.m. a relative of sixty-year-old Kenneth Charlot went to his residence located on Seal Avenue in Pass Christian to check on him.
Upon arrival into the residence, the relative discovered suspicious circumstances and contacted law enforcement. Charlot was not located inside and his vehicle was missing.
Approximately five-and-a-half hours later. the Gulfport Police Department responded to a vehicle fire on 31st Street near 43rd Avenue. The vehicle was identified as Charlot’s vehicle but he was not located.
The next morning, law enforcement responded to a deceased person located in the area of 29th Avenue Gulfport. The deceased was identified as Charlot. He was the victim of a homicide. Charlot was found just off 29th Ave, between 22nd & 23rd streets.
According to the Harrison County Coroner, the body was found by two men who were walking down the street near the wooded area. Hargrove said the body was laying right at the edge of the woods.
Law enforcement said tthe initial canvas of the home did not reveal anyone inside Charlot's residence, but they did find evidence of "suspicious circumstances" that led them to investigate further.
Harrison County Sheriff's Office and Gulfport Police are all assisting the Pass Christian Police Department as they continue to conduct this homicide investigation
